    Често задавани въпроси

    What is burnout exactly?
Burnout is a state of chronic stress that leads to physical and emotional exhaustion, cynicism and detachment from work, and feelings of ineffectiveness. It's recognised by the WHO as an occupational phenomenon. Unlike acute stress, burnout builds up over months and doesn't resolve with a single day off.
What is the difference between burnout and depression?
Burnout is primarily context-specific — usually tied to work — and symptoms often improve with rest, distance from the stressor, and lifestyle changes. Depression is a clinical condition that affects all areas of life regardless of context, and requires professional treatment. They frequently co-occur. If you're unsure, please consult a healthcare professional.
How long does it take to recover from burnout?
Recovery varies widely. Mild burnout may resolve in a few weeks with rest, boundaries, and lifestyle changes. Severe burnout can take 3–12 months or longer and often requires professional support, significant time off, and in some cases career or life restructuring. The earlier you catch it, the faster the recovery.
    How can I prevent burnout?
Effective prevention includes setting firm work boundaries (protecting evenings and weekends), taking proper vacations, maintaining strong social connections, developing a life outside work, monitoring your stress levels consistently, addressing workload issues early, and building recovery practices like sleep, exercise, and stillness into your routine.
